Greetings from the Golden State.
Our morning began bright and.....well, no.....actually it was dark and early. We got up at 3 am. Back in the day we were just getting in at 3. But the times have changed and we are responsible adults now. Hey, you, quit laughing. Ok, ok, Matt is a responsible adult. I wanted to stay up all night and sleep on the plane. But wiser heads prevailed and we all made use of the melationin I packed and fell right to sleep.
Our plane was wheels up at 5:45 right on schedule. Our seats had individual tv screens that we ponied up the $6 a piece to watch. Serenity and I watched Oz the Great and Powerful. And I watched Jack, the Giant Slayer and started watching Dual Survival. The flight took 5 hours.
We had United Club passes through our credit card. We are now comfortable ensconced in the club. They have a continental breakfast laid out as well as juice, coffees, cappucino, lattes, teas.... you get the idea.
Our flight will be leaving here at noon San Fran time or 3 home time. Tonight while you are snoozing in your bed, we will be landing in Beijing. 3:15 am at home, 3:15 pm in China.

I am SO excited for you all! Here I thought you left today, the 26th...OOPS! Too busy to pay attention these days... I certainly hope that you remembered to pack your Idahoan mashed potatoes for a "taste of the U.S." - remember how "yummy" ours were in our hotel in Beijing that first or 2nd night! Was thinking of you & how FABULOUS you were on the trip to bring Jordan Daniel home! Couldn't have done it without YOU! Hopefully Belle won't want Pepsi for breakfast! She couldn't be part of a nicer family--- you are all BLESSED to find one another through the red-thread miracle of adoption! WISH I were there with you to share the experience! Nothing like it, that's for sure! Oh, and Jordan hopes you see his father, Jackie Chan, while you're there! Just watch your necklaces in Guangzhou! Have some dumplings for us & we can't wait to see photos of you all with baby Belle! In our prayers for a wonderful trip to add to your amazing family! ReplyDeletePhotos, photos---where are the photos?!!!! Wish I were there with YOU!@!!! I am slightly jealous--- CAN YOU TELL?? LOL!!!! Hope Serenity is in awe of her birth country-- ALL the PEOPLE in Beijing, all the bicycles, traffic, & the AWESOME summer drinks at McDonalds! Remember when one day the business across from our hotel in Beijing changed virtually overnight to another business??? Seemed like MAGIC! You are an awesome writer--- can't wait to hear your accounts & stories about what is new & amazing in beautiful China! XOXO--- Praying daily for the Dailey's!!!!
